£5.99 £7.49

THE DARK

  • The first time on CD for this 1982 live mini-LP.
  • Plus - two unreleased early demos.
  • The Dark’s last stand at the 100 Club, with added bonus 1979 demo tracks
  • Features the late Razzle (Hanoi Rocks), drums, the late Phil Langham on vocals, Charlie Casey (Menace) bass, and Andy Riff guitar. In gatefold card wallet.

The band’s last ever gig, on June 29 1982. Singer and prior bassist Phil Langham went to launch the ‘Anagram’ punk label with Cherry Red Records, and drummer Razzle was leaving to join Finnish glam-rockers Hanoi Rocks. Sadly, both Phil and Razzle were to die later in the 80’s. Added to the eight live tracks are two 1979 demos, with their initial line-up of John Flanagan, Billy O’Neil, Jim Kane and Phil Langham. The Dark released five 7” singles and an album on Fresh Records between ’79-82; this ‘farewell’ album was recorded just two months after that label closed.

TRACKS: Live 100 Club 1982 - Disintegrate, On The Wires, The Chemical Parade, Shattered Glass, All This and More, Soldier Dolls, Einstein’s Brain, John Wayne.     Demos 1979 - My Friends, French Toys.
